GIA presents “Mon Boudoir Secret: An RFL Fashion Event”
— Exclusive charity event concept to benefit 100% Relay For Life® of SL–
GLANCE International Agency (GIA), SL’s premier fashion marketing and public relations agency is proud to extend to the fashion industry the invitation to the event “Mon Boudoir Secret”. This premier concept production unites the fine craftsmanship of 5 furniture designers along with 9 of SL’s most exclusive skin, couture and shoe brands. All sales proceeds will benefit 100% Relay For Life® of Second Life®.
Raising over 645,000L$ to date through the productions of GLANCE Front Row(April 2011), GLANCE Showroom #48 (May 2011) and the Accessory Fair 2011(June 2011), which was visited by over 14,000 SL Residents, GIA’s RFL team “GLANCE Runway For Life” is ready to take on a new fund raising challenge. To close the 2011 RFL Season with glamour: 14 of SL’s gifted home furnishing, skin, clothing and shoe designers will team up under the same roof to showcase apartment and fashionable garment offerings all with a “Boudoir” theme.
The event will begin on Sunday, July 10th at 1PM SLT and continue through the week until ending on Friday, July 15th with a closure party to start at 1 PM SLT and ending at 2PM SLT. During the celebration, the winner of the event’s photo contest will be awarded.

Each event item will be made available only at GIA’s “Mon Boudoir Secret” walk-in closet that is every fashionista’s dream. One hundred percent (100%) of all sales proceeds will go to Relay For Life® of SL. Indeed, all sales transactions will be made through the official RFL vendors supporting the team #40 “GLANCE Runway For Life”. Featuring elegant home interior furnishings and impeccable clothing, accessories, skins and shoes, the event aims at raising funds and increasing awareness for cancer research as the Relay For Life® of Second Life® 2011 season reaches it’s close.

About Relay For Life of Second Life:
Relay For Life® is the signature fundraiser of the American Cancer Society. Relay For Life of Second Life® (RFL of SL) is an annual activity that takes place in Second Life® in July each year. Volunteers form or join teams to have fun while fundraising and raising awareness from mid-March through mid-July. In July teams build campsites and walk a track, just like in a real world Relay. The main RFL of SL track event this year will take place on July 16-17. We will walk a virtual track for 24 hours, just like in a real world Relay For Life. Team members build and gather at their team campsites, enjoy live music, participate in fun events, and explore the many Relay sims and the incredible builds by some of Second Life’s top designers, as the event runs overnight and into the next morning.
In 2010 Relay For Life of Second Life attracted more than 120 teams with participants from over 30 countries, held over 300 team fundraising events between March and July, and raised over US$222,000 (that’s REAL US dollars) for cancer research and education. The funds raised go to research, advocacy, patient services and programs, with 12-15% going to international projects. Just as in the real world, RFL of SL is an international event.
