Graine Macbain said it best when she said this about Remembering Our Friends, founded by Mike Burleigh, CEO and Directed by Carlo Dufaux.

"Second Life is not a game, despite the tendency by some to treat it that way. At its best it is a community, and like any true community we must remember and honor those that came before us, but who no longer walk among us. Whether friend of family, First Life or Second, there is no better way in SL to commemorate those who touched your life than through Remembering Our Friends. 

The memorial services I have attended at ROF have been every bit as moving as those in RL, and just as important in providing comfort and closure to those who have lost a loved one. I support ROF and urge all SL residents to do likewise."
