My passion in virtual worlds all starts with a great desire to create. My need to create art has led me on a journey to manipulate imagery and create art using GIMP, Texture maker and Photo Shop. I am most at home with Texture Maker and GIMP2. I am also a gizmo and gadget geek so as devices make themselves know to me I play with them.

There is a growing trend toward more personalized virtual worlds. There are several reasons for this:
1.) Greater control of the environment (Users, access)
2.) Data security
3.) Usability
4.) Reliability
5.) Focus
Currently, Second Life is not on the best vector for addressing some of these issues although it still remains a good platform for public facing initiatives, community building, and customer “friendly” interaction.
