For people who have social, emotional, communicational problems VRWs can enable them to familiarise with a simulated situational environment before actually experiencing in real… Continue

The chatter picked up last fall, just before America’s largest cable company confessed that it would add fewer subscribers than expected in the fourth quarter. Some investors worried that, with growth slowing, Roberts might try to pick off Yahoo! (YHOO) or… Continue

"The Emergence of a New Global Culture in the Imagination Age" by Rita J. King

When you spend as much time as I do reading through what's written about the metaverse everyday, you sometimes get a bit down about what you see day after day. Invariably it's the same article written time and again and typically it includes the "I have a first life, I don't need a Second" refrain from the journalist who probably has never set virtual foot in a virtual world. Sometimes you see writing that recognizes the potential of virtual worlds. Only very rarely, in my opinion, do you see… Continue

I adore the world of texture creation

My passion in virtual worlds all starts with a great desire to create. My need to create art has led me on a journey to manipulate imagery and create art using GIMP, Texture maker and Photo Shop. I am most at home with Texture Maker and GIMP2. I am also a gizmo and gadget geek so as devices make themselves know to me I play with them.

I imported some Tuna Textures today. I hope you enjoy them there will be plenty more in weeks to come. If you want to see the stuff I do to really turn… Continue

I feel that I have been waiting my whole life to be right where i am now doing exactly what I am doing. I am grateful to be a part of what i believe is the future of communication and will change and improve the world that we know.

Personal/Corporate Virtual Worlds

There is a growing trend toward more personalized virtual worlds. There are several reasons for this:

3.) Usability

4.) Reliability

5.) Focus

Corporate use… Continue
