machinima upload

I have just uploaded my latest machinima.

It was shot at Virtual Holland, it beeing a part of the Goodbye Dollar cross media event on August 30 2008 in rl theatre De Balie, Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

You are looking at an interactive art installation, created by well known artists Arahan Claveau and Nebulosus Severine, presentated by Arthole.

For me, as machinima artist, this is the ultimate project to film, it was sheer joy! I was totally taken by the… Continue

mamachinima....It s a first

I joined this site yesterday as it was highly recommended to me by several residents of Second Life. And, browsing tru it, I have to say it looks good!

I think it would be good to introduce myself.

I live in the Netherlands, work for dutch TV (freelance productions: i film, edit, make newsitems, sometimes video clips and documentaries, i do life directing, and work for local television).

Early 2007 I discovered machinima, and i soon developed a passion for this new… Continue

Ad Nauseam: Win $L1,000 Quiz

This week I'm running a quiz in the Metaverse Messenger with a prize of $L1,000 (that's 1,000 "Lindens") for the first person who e-mails me with the correct answer. Because it's specific to readers of the newspaper I won't be reprinting it here or anywhere else.

However, there's nothing stopping you from going to the newspaper, reading the article (page 23), and sending in your answers.

Good luck.

How Does The System of Social Media Flow?

Will The Flow of Business Reverse? Business models have shifted over time. Each time models shift the practice of management has to shift as well.

Current business models follow a linear path of production and service. At the end of all the connected business processes is the customer, the markets and the ultimate economic transaction. In this model the… Continue

IBM Takes Real-Time Communication and Collaboration Into 3-D ArenaIBM Takes Real-Time Communication and Collaboration Into 3-D Arena

IBM Research announced a new project, dubbed "Sametime 3-D," demonstrating the integration of Lotus Sametime with several virtual environments.

IBM said the project showcases the business value virtual environments can bring to the future of unified communications.

Specifically, users can instant message a colleague and instead of only chatting with one another, launch into an immersive 3-D environment directly from within the Sametime chat session. IBM stated "Sametime… Continue

The Ad Nauseam "Famous Last Words" Contest - Prize Announcement

So far I've got several entries, but they're all from the same person and while I have no objection to G2 winning it, it would be nice to have a bit more variety to choose from, so I've decided to let the contest go for another week.

I can at least announce what the prize will be: A free copy of the Virtual Worlds Press Club Media Directory. This is a handsome pdf book which lists all of Second Life's major and minor media with brief descriptions and contact information. It will be… Continue

Ad Nauseam: "V8 Juice and national unity"

The Metaverse Messenger didn't publish this week, so there is no new Ad Nauseam article. In its stead I've decided to reprint a piece I did back in 1994 when Quebec (led by Lucien Bouchard and his Bloc Quebecois Party) once again attempted to separate from the rest of the country. In the midst of the madness, Bouchard made headlines when he predicted Quebec's separation would lead to the swift fall of English Canada to American invasion.

And then these odd French-only V8 posters…
