John Chambers, Cisco® CEO not only endorses virtual worlds and Second Life® as part of their collaboration focus, but has a company-wide implementation strategy in progress. I attended the Cisco Live! program on June 24, 2008 in Second Life and came away with what I think of as a powerful endorsement for business and government in regard to using virtual worlds.
I feel strongly that virtual worlds are a part of the internet evolution and are “the” essential component to collaboration…

It was Bull who livens up everyone in Tropica. One day, silence fell over CNW as Bull left. Everyone was sad even our Goddess. Someday Bull will come back. Until then its lights out in CNW. lol

What is the definition of New Media.
Surely Web2.0 is now old media.
The new media will be immersive 3D environments; using the technology developed by the CGI, gaming, and film industries will be the future media.
We need to start preparing for this rather than the 2D text, images and flashy flashy web sites with no content; just a front office metaphor.
I believe we should start planning now for the future revolution; we are at the beginning of a…

If you hear me raving about Cybernet Worlds, you'll know it gets rave reviews as a 3d chat universe. It is not justa3d chat universe it is my virtual home. and the people [bless their hearts] they are my virtual family. Our foundress and creator of Cybernet worlds [which will remain nameless to protect her identity] is also our Godess and mother of all of Cybernet Worlds or CNW for short. She rules with tough love and kindness to all who enter in. She makes our blessed community a safe an…

The following is a reprint of the Ad Nauseam column which appeared in the June 24, 2008 edition of the Metaverse Messenger
We’re putting the paper to bed a bit early this week. As a result I’ve not had the chance to complete my interviews with various experts and consultants. But maybe that’s for the best. Before quoting extensively from these respected authorities I should perhaps give a mild word of warning about them: a great…

CybernetWorlds
Hi Im Mystic Fawn
Ive been in Cybernet Worlds for about 9 years now. I found it by accident while searching for 3D. Im the 51st citizen there, and it just as addicting now as it was when I found it. Ive met so many wonderful people from all around the world. The owners are CJ and jija. The atmosphere of this 3D community is like that of a cyber family. Very warm, loving and friendly, but tough on trouble makers. They want this to be an… Continue

This week I completed a 5-world network of space worlds for NASA in the Quest Atlantis 3D universe. We were asked to expand on the asteroid impact theme and we did so. Now there are alternate scenarios in the mission dialog that entail things like if the deflection options did or did not work. See my uploaded images for further info.

The fashion industry in Second Life is a big thing. Last week, I've visited
Canimal's fashion store and observed quite interesting and unexpected interactions of Canimal's fashion savvies. Conducting academic research in Second Life is a big thing too.
As a member of the Second Life's Academic Research Special Interest Group (SIG), it's my pleasure to assist my SIG collage…

It’s time to recap (from the French, meaning: “Put your hat back on”).
We started with our product, a new line of furry avatars. We then identified the difference between “audience” (furries and the furry-curious) and “reach” (the number of furries and furry-curious who will actually see our…
