My understanding is that the Open Grid folks are working on ways to transfer your avitar back and forth from the Main SL grid to the Open Grids. If that is the case then I see it as an extention of what SL has already created. However I am a strong advocate for using SL mostly because so much is already there and t is still a wide open world to create what ever you want. Thanks you very much for the welcome and for having the insight to create this Association. My personal focus is using virtual worlds (Second Life is my only real exposure) to offer a vision of what is possible. My30+ years in Sustainable Development led me to create "Etopia Island" in Second Life a virtual modern day eco-villlage created using only currently available technologies.
I am available as a consultant to individuals, groups, and businesses looking for was to get ahead of the curve around sustainability and to help lead our society in the search for solutions to adapting to Climate Change.
I have also written a feature-length positive future film which uses this vision as the backdrop to a compelling and uplifting mystery story of love, loss and re-connection. I read about your experience in the publishing world and thought it was worth letting you know this part of me.
