I've been discussing the lack of mesh support in Second Life. People have asked why it is not a priority for Linden Labs. I'm just not sure.

Personal/Corporate Virtual Worlds

There is a growing trend toward more personalized virtual worlds. There are several reasons for this:

1.) Greater control of the environment (Users, access)
2.) Data security
3.) Usability
4.) Reliability
5.) Focus

Currently, Second Life is not on the best vector for addressing some of these issues although it still remains a good platform for public facing initiatives, community building, and customer “friendly” interaction.
