Academically, I'm a graduate student in the field of Communication. I've taught classes within Communication, including Public Speaking, Interpersonal Commuinication and co-taught a class examining communication, technology and society.
I'm fascinated by media, technology, law and culture. The point where any of these categories intersect is interesting to examine, and I believe that virtual environments (especially those with user-created content) are an exciting experiment-in-progress. Who knows what will happen? -Let's find out!
In my free time I enjoy.......wait a minute! I have no free time, as I'm currently working on my thesis.
Personally, regarding media, I enjoy producing music, learning After Effects (just the basics for now), and mixing electronic music.
I believe that people have an inherent need to share their culture with others, and that's why I think Creative Commons is amazing. People do create simply for the sake of creating and enjoy sharing their work with others. I mix ambient music released by others under Creative Commons licensing, and place the compilations on my website for others to enjoy. The artists appreciate the exposure, I enjoy creating the mixes and listeners enjoy the music- Creative Commons facilitates this. Stop by my website if you're interested.
If you're interested in discussing any of these topics, or care to find out more, let me know!

encourage you to check it out. I am currently researching to see what other networks are out there. Are there any you use that you could recommend, beyond this, RezEd, and SLED?
