Hi Erica, just read some of your blog and there is some great stuff there - thank you! I was particular interested in your take out points from the Standford seminar and agree whole heartedly. I was reading a Sun presentation on virtual worlds the other day and they said on any one day 50% of their work force are working remotely. The say virtual worlds as a potential solution to the problems of loneliness, alienation, and lack of team or corporate culture. The other intriguing blog comment you had was on the better interfaces for VW exploration. I have been researching gestural and facial recognition interfaces so the faceLAB interface looks fascinating. I have seen an example of something similar by Logitec that is bundled with their webcam. It tracks points on your face to allow your avatar to replicate your facial expressions and even lip sync. I think this will be a huge step in making virtual face to face meetings more expressive and better at tacit knowledge transfer. Looking forward to more debate with you about this. cheers Pete

Yes, those Beavers can be an interesting flight. I'm flying into Canada on one this summer for a 10 day canoe trip with my son. Weather's a little less challenging where we're going.
