3d model - NYC

Does anyone know where I might find a 3d model of NYC? I need it for a project I'm working on. I'm new to this so I hope I'm in the right place. We work in Lightwave so hopefully I can find a model either done in Lightwave or in a format I can import.

The animation project involves circling the city from above, zooming in and then traveling across New Jersey. So I guess I'll need to find a model of New Jersey to show the terrain as well.

Any insights or suggestions would be much appreciated!

Here's a .3ds (3D Studio Max) version of NYC you should be able to import into Lightwave.

how to import .3ds file into lightwave.
If that doesn't work try searching for:
lws to 3ds converter
