Association of Virtual Worlds

The Business & Social Network

David Merrill at Utah State created a design method that embraced both ISD and constructivist methods of design using problem-based learning at the center. We plan to create a 3D IT planning model. We want to create it so that students can walk amongst a project model, see the complex relationship between project parts, and interact with the model at various levels of granularity. I think the key is to find the right visual metaphor.

Paulette, I'd love to hear more about how this is coming along. I'm a big fan of David Merrill's work. Chris

We are working on access to virtual worlds for government now. We are hoping to start designing this after the access is in place.
