Sasun Steinbeck, a prominent Secondlife artist and creator of the Art Gallery Kiosk System posts actual conversation transcripts between herself and the content thieves she catches in the act. From her posts you get a pretty good idea of what goes through the mind of someone who can claim another person's content as their own. The common thread among all these content thieves seems to me to be, first and foremost, a lack of respect for others and plain old human decency, forget about actual copy write laws, they don't exist for these people.
